Crowns or Veneers in Antalya: A 5-Working-Day Trip, Day by Day

This page is general information and does not replace an examination.

Quick answer

For several crowns or zirconia veneers at Ulubey Dental Clinic in Antalya, plan one trip of about 5 working days: examination, scan and preparation with temporaries (ready in 2–3 hours) on Day 1, the try-in a day later, the final fitting two days after that, and a check before you fly. E.max veneers and larger smile designs take about 5–7 working days. A single crown is usually finished within 1–2 working days. Sundays are not counted, and there is no flight restriction after crowns and veneers.

TemporariesReady about 2–3 hours after preparation (digital workflow).
Single crownUsually finished within 1–2 working days.
Several crowns4–5 treatment days; plan a stay of about 5–7 working days.
Zirconia veneersAbout 5 working days; E.max veneers about 5–7.
Flying homeNo flight restriction after crowns, veneers or whitening.

How long crowns and veneers take

How long does getting a crown take? A crown is made after the tooth has been shaped, and the laboratory needs time to make it, so a temporary is usually fitted in the meantime[5]. In our fully digital workflow with the Dentsply Sirona Primescan scanner and our partner laboratory, the time in Antalya is:

The 5-working-day trip, day by day

This is the typical flow for several crowns or zirconia veneers when your teeth and gums are healthy and you agree the plan on the first day. Your dentist confirms the schedule at the examination. In the example, you arrive on a Sunday and Day 1 is a Monday; the clinic is open Monday to Saturday, 09:00–19:00.

Before Day 1: arrival

Antalya Airport is about 12 km from the clinic, about 15 minutes by car depending on traffic. Airport transfer is included in full cases (full zirconia, full veneers, full E.max crowns); for a single crown it is available at extra cost. There is a hotel in the building next door where we accommodate patients from abroad; the hotel is confirmed in your written quote.

Day 1: examination, design and preparation

  • Examination by one of our two dentists and a panoramic X-ray, which we take for every patient.
  • Digital scan with the Primescan, photographs and shade measurement with a VITA Easyshade digital spectrophotometer. When choosing the shade we also take into account the remaining natural teeth, the white of the eyes, skin tone and age.
  • For cosmetic plans, a digital smile design preview: you approve it before any tooth is prepared.
  • Your written quote and plan. If the plan is agreed and nothing needs treating first, the teeth are prepared and temporaries are fitted, usually ready within 2–3 hours.

Day 2: try-in

The restorations made at our partner laboratory are tried in. We check fit, bite, shape and shade and tell the laboratory what, if anything, to change. You wear your temporaries again until the final fitting.

Day 3: laboratory day

The laboratory finishes your crowns or veneers. If you are having whitening in the same trip, it is done in one session on one of the days while your crowns are being made (see whitening in the same trip).

Day 4: final fitting

The crowns or veneers are fitted permanently and the bite is checked and adjusted. Veneers and glass-ceramic crowns are bonded adhesively, which needs a clean, dry field. Our veneer cementation protocol explains each step.

Day 5: check before you fly

A final check of the bite, the gums and how you clean around the new teeth. This day also gives room for a small correction if needed. Questions after you fly home go to our WhatsApp number.

Book the flight home only when the plan is in writing

A schedule that is too tight leaves no room to correct the fit, the bite or the shade. Plan at least 5 working days for several crowns or zirconia veneers, about 5–7 for E.max veneers or a larger smile design, and book your return once your written plan confirms the days.

What can make the trip longer

The 5-day plan assumes healthy teeth and gums. The examination sometimes changes it:

  • Decay, old fillings or a tooth that needs a root canal: treated first. A root canal normally needs 2 sessions about 7 days apart; a vital tooth without an infection at the root tip is often treated in a single session. See our root canal treatment page.
  • Gum contouring: adds at least 1–2 days.
  • E.max veneers or many teeth: plan about 5–7 working days.
  • Changes to the smile design: if you want the design adjusted before preparation, we adjust it until it is right, which can add time.
  • A few implants in the same trip: possible when it is a small case; the stay is the crown stay plus 1–2 nights (for example 6–7 nights instead of 5). The implant crowns themselves follow after healing, about 3 months later.
  • Sundays: the clinic and the laboratory are closed, so a Sunday never counts as a treatment day.

Whitening in the same trip

Whitening only lightens the colour of natural teeth; it does not change the colour of crowns, veneers or implants[6]. If you would like whiter natural teeth next to your new crowns, tell us at the examination. Whitening is a single session done while your crowns are being made, so it does not extend your stay. If you are having veneers, your dentist confirms the order of whitening and veneers at the examination; whitening is not included in veneer prices.

What these prices include
  • Included: the temporaries and try-ins during your treatment visit; the digital smile design preview in cosmetic plans; a custom night guard with veneers.
  • No fee: the consultation, the panoramic X-ray and removing an old crown before a new crown.
  • Old veneer removal: €35 per tooth, included when a new veneer or crown is placed on the same tooth.
  • Charged separately only if needed: root canal treatment (from €120), a post (€60) or a core build-up (€60); medicines bought at the pharmacy.
  • Airport transfer: included in full cases; hotel confirmed in your written quote.

Prices are indicative; your final written quote follows the examination and X-rays and is valid for 30 days. Unless the treatment plan changes, the written price does not change.

Estimate your own case with the zirconia crown cost calculator or the veneers cost calculator; every item is on our dental treatment prices page. If only part of a tooth is damaged, an inlay or onlay may keep more of it; see inlay, onlay or crown.

How long crowns and veneers last

  • Crowns: a 2026 meta-analysis of 64 studies estimated 5-year survival of 98.5% for monolithic lithium disilicate (E.max-type) crowns and 96.8% for monolithic zirconia crowns; monolithic designs had significantly fewer ceramic fractures and chipping than veneered ones[1].
  • Veneers: a 2025 meta-analysis of 29 studies found 96.81% survival for lithium disilicate veneers at about 10 years, with lower complication rates than other glass ceramics. Zirconia veneers had 100% survival at 2.6 years, but no long-term data exist yet[2].
  • Teeth grinding: in a 20-year study, veneers in patients who grind had a 7.7 times greater risk of failure[3], and in another study a night guard (occlusal splint) reduced the risk of fractures[4]. This is why our veneer and crown guarantees require the night guard for patients who grind. See teeth grinding.

Before you travel

  • Send a recent panoramic X-ray or clear photos on WhatsApp. Messages are usually answered within 4 hours, and a written quote usually follows within 24 hours.
  • Ask the right questions. The UK General Dental Council suggests asking any clinic abroad whether there is a guarantee on the work and for how long, what aftercare is provided, and who pays for extra flights, hotel and remedial work[7]. Our checklist before dental treatment abroad answers these for our clinic.
  • Tell us about your health and medicines before the trip, and whether you grind your teeth.
  • Plan the dates: arrive the day before Day 1, keep Sundays out of the count, and book the return once the plan is in writing.

Travel tips for the city itself are in our Antalya dental travel guide.

After you fly home: check-ups and guarantee

We send WhatsApp check-ins at 30, 90 and 365 days after treatment. The guarantee terms:

  • Crowns: 10-year fracture guarantee on Amann Girrbach zirconia crowns and bridges made at our partner lab; 5-year clinic guarantee on crowns and bridges in other materials; crown and bridge guarantees exclude fracture due to bruxism (teeth grinding), and patients who grind their teeth must wear the night guard we provide. All guarantees are conditional on attending recommended check-ups and cover the prosthesis, not the root canal or filling beneath it.
  • Veneers: 5-year guarantee on E.max veneers against fracture or debonding (excluding trauma, and bruxism without the night guard we provide); zirconia veneers carry the same 5-year clinic guarantee, not the 10-year Amann Girrbach guarantee, which applies to zirconia crowns and bridges.
  • Yearly check-up: at our clinic in Antalya (no fee for the check-up) or with any licensed dentist where you live, who sends us an X-ray, 5 photos and a short note; Dr. Ali Cem Ulubey or Dr. Surur Ulubey reviews them in writing within 7 days.

Read the full terms in our written dental guarantee.

How we work

Ulubey Dental Clinic is run by two dentists, Dr. Ali Cem Ulubey and Dr. Surur Ulubey; there are no rotating dentists, so the dentist who plans your crowns or veneers is the one who fits them. Our equipment for this work includes the Dentsply Sirona Primescan intraoral scanner, a VITA Easyshade digital spectrophotometer, cross-polarized photography for shade matching and rubber dam isolation; the restorations are made at our partner laboratory. Consultations are in English, Turkish, Persian (Farsi) and Azerbaijani.

Frequently asked questions

How long does getting a crown take in Antalya?

At Ulubey Dental Clinic a single crown is usually finished within 1–2 working days, with a temporary often fitted the same day about 2–3 hours after preparation. Several crowns take 4–5 treatment days: preparation on day 1, try-in a day later and final fitting two days after that. Plan a stay of about 5–7 working days including the examination and a check.

Can I get veneers in 5 days in Turkey?

Zirconia veneers usually take about 5 working days at our clinic, and composite veneers about 4–5. E.max veneers and larger smile designs take about 5–7 working days. The schedule depends on the examination: decay, a root canal or gum contouring adds days, and Sundays are not counted. Your dentist confirms the days in your written plan.

Can I fly home straight after crowns or veneers?

Yes. There is no flight restriction after crowns, veneers or whitening, so you can fly home after your final check. We still recommend booking the return only when your written plan confirms the days, because a schedule that is too tight leaves no room to correct the fit, the bite or the shade.

Can I have teeth whitening in the same trip as crowns?

Yes. Whitening is a single session done while your crowns are being made, so it does not extend your stay. It lightens only natural teeth, not crowns or veneers. Options are Opalescence (€150) or Philips Zoom with the NiteWhite home kit (€350), for adults aged 18 and over; for at least 3 days afterwards we ask for a white diet.

What happens if a crown or veneer needs correcting after I fly home?

Send us photos on WhatsApp first. Amann Girrbach zirconia crowns made at our partner lab carry a 10-year fracture guarantee, and E.max veneers a 5-year guarantee against fracture or debonding (excluding trauma, and bruxism without the night guard we provide). Crown and bridge guarantees exclude fracture due to bruxism (teeth grinding), and patients who grind their teeth must wear the night guard we provide. All guarantees are conditional on attending recommended check-ups; a remake under the guarantee is done at our clinic in Antalya at no treatment cost, and travel is paid by the patient.

How much do crowns and veneers cost for a 5-day trip?

A monolithic zirconia crown is €185 per tooth and an E.max crown or laminate veneer €250; a zirconia veneer is €185 and a composite veneer €120. Ten teeth start from €1,850 in zirconia or €2,500 in E.max. Temporaries and try-ins during the visit are included, and airport transfer is included in full cases.
