Today I went to Ali Cem Bey and Sürur Hanım on Barınaklar Boulevard. I have had trust issues in many clinics before due to the constant change of doctors. As someone who is afraid of dentists, I felt very comfortable here. Both dentists are very cooperative, attentive, and genuinely very good at their jobs. Can I have my check-ups with my own dentist at home?
Quick answer: Yes. The yearly check-up that keeps your guarantee valid can be done at our clinic in Antalya (no separate fee) or at any licensed dentist in your country. Send a panoramic X-ray, 5 standard intra-oral photos and your dentist’s note; Dr. Ali Cem Ulubey or Dr. Surur Ulubey reviews them within 7 days and confirms in writing. A missed check-up pauses the guarantee; it is not cancelled.
Many international patients keep their own dentist at home, and we work with them. On request we send your dentist any record: panoramic and periapical X-rays, surgical notes, and the implant brand, model and LOT/serial numbers. Implant patients also receive the manufacturer’s international implant passport in English, with the original labels, insertion torque values and treatment notes, signed and stamped by the dentist (more about the implant passport).
Zirconia crowns and bridges: made at our Amann Girrbach (AG) partner lab; you receive the lab’s certificate and a certificate letter from the clinic.
Yearly check-up details: for implants, add a periapical X-ray if one was taken; your dentist’s invoice can replace the note. A catch-up check-up within 3 months restores a paused guarantee, unless a problem caused by the gap has developed.
If a remake is needed: a covered remake is done at Ulubey at no treatment cost; travel and hotel are paid by the patient. Please report a problem within 30 days of noticing it.
If your own dentist makes the crown: our crown/bridge guarantee does not apply to that crown (it covers restorations made by us). Please tell us in writing before another dentist restores or changes our work — this is a condition of our guarantee.
Insurance and tax documents: we are a private clinic and do not process insurance claims. On request we provide the documents your insurer or tax office may ask for (itemised invoice, treatment plan, X-rays and records). Whether any cost is reimbursed or tax-deductible depends on your insurer, your policy and the rules of your country — we cannot guarantee it and take no responsibility for those decisions. Please check with your insurer in writing before you travel.
